About Us

We would like you to know a little about the physicians and the APRN at ARFP.

Dr. Joel Tumlison will join us in July 2017.

Dr. Tumlison grew up in Conway, AR.  He did his undergraduate studies at Hendrix College and graduated from UAMS in 2005.  His residency training was at In His Image Family Medicine in Tulsa, OK.  He is Board Certified in Family Medicine by the ABFM and is a member of the American Association of Family Physicians (AAFP) and Arkansas Medical Society (AMS).  He and his wife, Cinthya, have 3 wonderful, school-aged children.  The family lived in Honduras from 2008-2015, serving at Hospital Loma de Luz, a Christian hospital on the rural, northern coast.  Dr. Tumlison is fluent in Spanish.  He and his family love to travel and meet as many international folks as they can.  

Dr. W. David King

Dr. King started practicing in Little Rock in 1991. He is a graduate of Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans and completed a residency in Family Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. Dr. King has maintained certification by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). He is a member of the American Medical Association (AMA), the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), the Arkansas Academy of Family Physicians (ArAFP) and the Christian Medical and Dental Associations (CMDA). He is a member of the Pulaski County Medical Society (PCMS) and is serving on their Board of Directors.  Dr. King is a member of Geyer Springs First Baptist Church.

Dr. Philip Pounders
Dr. Pounders grew up in North Little Rock.  He went to the University of Arkansas for his undergraduate degree & obtained his medical degree from UAMS in 2011.  He completed his residency at the UAMS Northeast Family Medicine program in Jonesboro, AR.  He is a member of the American Medical Association (AMA), American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), and Arkansas Academy of Family Physicians (ArAFP).  Dr. Pounders loves the Arkansas’ outdoors and enjoys duck hunting, fishing, deer hunting, and golfing during his free time.  He and his wife also love to travel, serve on medical mission trips, and are active members in their church.
Dr. Jack Somers

Dr. Jack Somers is a graduate of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) and completed his residency with UAMS in 1980. Dr. Somers and his wife, Joy, have 3 children and 2 grandchildren. Dr. Somers is a member of The Bible Church of Little Rock. He enjoys Hunting, Fishing, Gardening and Golf. 

Dr. Dan Watson

Dr. Watson began his practice with ARFP on July 17, 1989. He is a graduate from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and received his medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. After a transitional internship at UAMS, he completed his residency in Family Practice at AHEC NE in Jonesboro, AR.  He is a Board Certified Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and a Member of AMA. Although deeply rooted in Arkansas because of family and friends, Dr. Watson and his wife Glenda, as well as their two children (Kat and Chandler), love to travel and experience the world. They have also enjoyed the relationships developed here though international friend’s organizations. Glenda is originally from Vancouver, B.C., and the entire family considers this their second home. Dr. Watson enjoys anything outdoors: loves to fly fish, bike, backpack, etc.

Dr. Linda Rollins

Dr. Linda Rollins was born and raised in Little Rock where she attended Little Rock Central High School. After working 14 years for Southwestern Bell, Dr. Rollins attended the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences where she obtained her Medical Degree in 1993. She then did her residency training at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. Dr. Rollins has 2 Daughters (one of which is also a physician with ARFP) and 5 Grandchildren. She enjoys travelling, reading, swimming, skiing, watching movies and spending time with her family and friends. Dr. Rollins attends Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church where she is a member of the Wesley Sunday School Class.

Emily Fry, APRN
Emily grew up in Little Rock and now lives in Maumelle. She graduated from Little Rock Central High School and then attended the University of Central Arkansas. There she obtained her Bachelor's and Master's of Science in Nursing. She is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International, Honor Society in Nursing. She and her husband enjoy being outdoors, hiking, and gardening. They also enjoy playing and listening to music.
